Latest lockdown in England – We are open for business and house moves can continue

Following the Prime Ministers announcement last night England has gone into another lockdown with even tighter restrictions.

For the housing market, this means that Estate Agents and Lettings Agents can continue with business as usual and house moves can also go ahead. We understand that our clients still need to move during this time, and we are ensuring that viewings and valuations can continue within the safety guidelines dictated by the Government which we have been adhering to since the first lockdown.

We would like to reassure you that the welfare of our clients and employees is of paramount importance and we are closely following Public Health guidelines in order to minimise potential exposure.

It is business as usual and our entire team are working.

If you are a Landlord or Seller please let us know if you would like to avoid our agents or photographer visiting your property or meeting you in person because you or your tenants are self-isolating or experiencing symptoms and we can discuss options.

How are you conducting Property Viewings?

• Per the government guidelines, property viewings can continue. Should clients want to visit a property a specific viewing time can be requested in some circumstances so that a property can be vacated to allow minimal social contact
• Virtual Viewings are in place and can be carried out by Facetime, WhatsApp Video, Skype or any other preferred video chat app
• Video Tours are available should our clients wish to use this in the marketing of their properties, or should you want to view a property
• Our staff are all following government advice around regular handwashing and providing hand sanitiser and disinfectant at properties

Will you still be conducting Property Valuations?

The market is still active and there are still buyers actively looking for properties, so we are conducting in person valuations and viewings which adhere to Government Safety Guidelines.

• Send us a detailed description of the property which you can do over the phone with a member of our team or via email and we can provide an Instant Valuation

• We are doing Video Valuations if you don’t want to do in person, so please send us a video and any photos and we can provide an accurate valuation
• Live Virtual Valuation using Facetime, WhatsApp Video, Skype or whichever method clients prefer

I am planning to Move, how are you handling Move in’s during this time?

As your Move in Day approaches you may be concerned about how the restrictions in place because of COVID-19 could affect your upcoming move.

We have implemented several procedures to help ensure the safety of our clients:

• We can recommend vetted movers who are following safety guidelines and haven’t shown any symptoms of the Coronavirus for 14 days
• We can recommend approved cleaning services to thoroughly clean the entire property prior to move in
• We can arrange for the exchange of keys to happen with no human contact if requested
